I am a mother, wife, goddess, sister, daughter, friend, business woman and more! Though I wear many hats, I tend to address myself as Uniquely Aniqua. Mainly because there is only one me and I believe that each individual person has unique traits that makes them special. My favorite thing about myself is the fact that I am melanated. I recently stopped referring to myself and other melanated people as Black. Mostly because I feel that black is a title that was giving to us, and as I continue my journey, I am learning to remove titles that I did not pick myself. Please do not get me wrong, I am honored and lucky to have melanin coating my cells and giving my skin the glow it has. Many are unaware of the powers, protection and magic that resides inside of melanin. No worries, I am here to shine light on it all!
